Brackenhurst has reforested over 20 acres of its property, and is in the process of doubling this amount. This project is protecting the Tigoni River watershed, preserving hundreds of species of trees and other flora thus increasing the number of resident bird species from 40 to 160. Our indigenous forest also provides a habitat for small animals, increasing the aesthetic and recreational appeal of the property and also plays a vital role in educating the community.
