Festival in the Forest: Sunday 6th November 2022

Save the date! This year’s Festival in the Forest is happening soon. Join us to enjoy live entertainment while you shop from an array of vendors selling a range of craft items and produce. When you get peckish, refuel with delicious food from Muna Tree Cafe. There will also be lots of activities to keep the kids entertained. 

Woodland Star International School’s talented students will entertain with drama and choir performances. You can also visit their stand to find out more about everything Woodland Star has to offer and meet some of our teaching staff and students. For those of you thinking about the next steps for your children after prep school, the team are excited to tell you more about the opening of its one-of-a-kind high school in August 2023. 

The team at Brackenology will be offering guided walks around the restored indigenous forest. During these walks, you will be able to find out more about the work they do to collect and safeguard African plants, wonder at their diversity and promote their cultural and economic value. There will also be an opportunity to buy some of the plants grown at Brackenhurst, the funds will be used to continue supporting the restoration of the forest. Our friends and partners at Forest Foods, Africa’s pioneers in Syntropic Agroforestry will be offering farm tours and selling fresh produce. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the work they are doing on the Brackenhurst Campus.

And if all of that is not enough you can also expect:

• Around 60 vendors selling produce and craft items
• Free tractor rides for the kids
• Halisi Band
• Michael Ongaro
• The African Muse
• Muthiigi Cultural Dancers
• Paint and chill for kids and adults
• Petting zoo

All of this and more. Entrance fee Ksh 500 adults and Ksh 200 for children (0-12 yrs).
